Fishing

Well  there’s a title for you .  

 

Totally misleading for the novice, when people talk of   “FREE fishing”

What they mean is that there are no fee’s to pay on the bank side for the privilege of fishing .

 

Your Bait still costs an arm and a leg.

 

There are a few ways to find these hidden treasures

The first is to check with your local water authority as they usually publish a book on

Where you CAN fish.  

WHO are the Riparian owners ( people you have to pay to fish )  

What access is available (important if you are in a wheelchair like me)

and what you may catch

 

Then if you are a Camper or Caravanner like me you may find some sites that have fishing included at no EXTRA cost some are Certified Locations, some are commercial sites though the commercial sites usually charge at least £5 a day to fish (Greedy *********)

 

 

Then there is SEA fishing , ( Yes I know I’ve not mentioned it before) but 99% of all sea fishing is FREE .  Sea fishing has an added advantage as long as you are aware of and STICK TO minimum sizes of fish caught you can take your catch home and have REAL fresh fish

 

Something you can’t do with Course fish they are just too expensive for the Clubs to stock in the first place to kill and eat.

 

Then there is the fact that no place in England is more than 150 miles from the sea, so getting a couple of nights caravanning plus a bit of sea fishing on the side doesn’t work out too expensive now does it.

 

 Unless if you have wife like mine find somewhere with shops or a market and she’ll be happy to go too.
